High Blood Pressure Explained
What is High Blood Pressure?
Excessive blood pressure might be rise in force exerted by flowing blood on the artery walls as a common response to stress & physical work. Anyhow, if this pressure keeps on steadily high (high blood pressure as it is known), it can exhaust your arteries and heart. It results in arterial disease, heart attacks and strokes.
Blood Pressure Measurement
Your blood pressure is checked in two values, the systolic, where blood exert pressure when it comes into aorta from the heart and the second is diastolic, where blood put prssure when the heart ventricles relax between beats. Millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) is the checking unit of blood pressure.
Above normal Blood Pressure might be defined in an adult as the blood pressure greater than or same as 140 mm Hg systolic pressure, or greater than or equal to 90 mm Hg diastolic pressure. Reading of blood pressure more than 140/90 is strange and determines hypertension.
